Aiman Hakim (b. 1984) is a contemporary visual artist who graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts (Painting) in 2004. Since then, he has contributed to the arts scene by exhibiting both locally and overseas at Utterly Art, Gallerie Belvedere, National Art Gallery of Malaysia and the Sunshine International Museum for the 2010 Songzhuang Art Festival, amongst many others. His works have also received the attention of various awards and scholarship providers such as the Winston Oh Travel Award, the Georgette Chen Scholarship (2003) as well as the Lasalle-SIA Scholarship (2002).

Aiman's ongoing series of works deal with the issue of conformity in society by exploring the seemingly ‘absurd’ notion of self-individuation in a culture still dominated by communal ideologies. Fittingly, this emphasis also allows him to use his works as a platform for activism and transcend the nature of the culture which his very works address.
