Arnewaty’s practice concerns the use of patterns and the development of new structures through repetitive gestures and brushstrokes. Inspired by mammatus clouds, and other weather formations, she creates layers, densities, and gaps to construct spaces within spaces.
Arnewaty was a recipient of the Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Award in 2007 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from LASALLE College of the Arts. Though trained in painting, she has extended her practice to include object-based works.
