HDB Heartland Ambassadors Project
For 6 months, SCYA and Housing Development Board (HDB) had come together to build a multimedia sculpture that was launch on 29th May 2013 at HDB HUB. The sculpture was produced from an interesting collaboration of sound, photography and drawings done by Primary, Secondary School and Tertiary students involved in the Heartland Ambassadors Program. The sculpture showcases the artistic amalgamation of the Heartland Ambassadors hopes and aspirations for their dream community. The entire composition embraces fond memories of the past, sights and sounds of the present, and dreams for the future. The sculpture is made out of two distinct houses; the Kampong House and the Futuristic Tower, joined by a simple bridge representing the transition from the past to the present. Artists who worked on the sculpture were: Zai Tang for Sound, Billy Soh for Photography, Jacquelyn Soo for Drawing and Yang Jie for Sculpture.
